Founders Message
However, I soon realized that the preservation of the Lenape language and culture cannot be achieved through traditional methods of education alone. I needed to find innovative ways to engage learners of all ages and backgrounds and make the Lenape language and culture accessible to a wider audience. And so, LenaLingua was born.
- Shiva Tripurana, Founder
From a young age, my heart has been deeply connected to the preservation of indigenous cultures and languages. Growing up in New Jersey, I was exposed to the rich history and heritage of many different cultures, and it was the Lenape people that inspired my passion for this project. As I learned more about the Lenape language and culture, I became increasingly driven about to find ways to preserve and revitalize this important aspect of indigenous heritage.
